Air conditioner fan wont turn on.?
The ac unit works but has frozen over. I need to turn the fan blower on, but the fan wont turn without running the ac unit. Any ideas? Capacitor/relay was replaced last year.

If you are talking about the outside portion of your system, the fan on top will not run without the whole unit running. You do not need this fan to run to deice the unit, you can simply use the hose to melt the ice. If you are talking about the indoor portion of the system, this fan can usually be turned on in the manual fan mode. It will help thaw the unit, but it will take some time. BTW, if your icing over it is usually an indication of either a low Freon charge or dirty air filter, so check your filters first and change them if they are dirty.
