I'm an Atheist, it's common sense to know that inflicting pain and distress on someone is wrong. Especially your own children that need to grow up knowing, not only that their parents love them, but also that hurting others is wrong. You don't need no "god" to tell you that.... We as humans, all have feelings, and a life without fear is a good life.
