Is it normal for tea tree oil to sting?
I put some on my face (Not all over just my problem spots) And I put some on my nose and it burned a lot. It didn't get red or weird or swollen and its gone down but is it supposed to burn and sting? Am I allergic?
Monique, no I do not have any open sores, BUT I put some on the redness of my nose and yes it stung very badly and burned a lot.

Yes it is, the stinging tells you that the antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties of the tea tree are working.
Simply put a couple of drops on a cotton bud and dot onto each spot, it can irritate the skin for some people or people with sensitive skins - this may be what is happening in your case.
I would suggest you use it in dilution, I would recommend between 10-20 drops of essential oil to 50ml of jojoba oil.
I suggest Jojoba Oil as it is almost identical organically-speaking to sebum, which is the natural oil produced by your skin. As well as being a great natural moisturizer it can also help with acne, Jojoba Oil penetrates into the skin without clogging pores and is suitable for all skin types it contains vitamin E and antioxidants which are great for fighting aging signs and moisturizing the skin.
Hope this helps!

OMG I just put some tea tree oil on and it stings so bad for me too!! I think for me because the pimple is halfway cut/peeled :( Is that for you?

It might feel a little weird when you put it on but if it stings enough to bother you, you probably shouldn't keep using it. It could be that you're allergic (you'd have to go see a doctor to be sure) but everyone's skin is different and your face could just be sensitive to the oil - as it is to many other things.
Also, if the tea tree oil isn't working, try jojoba oil. It works amazing. :)
