How long before I can play a Ukulele decently?

Like the title says how long does it take before a person learns a decent amount of songs and is not nuisance if they have no experience with any type of instrument? I realize this all depends on the amount of time put into practice and ones learning ability. Lets just say I'm an average learner and am able to give an hour a day to practice. What am I looking at being able to do with 6 months put in? I realize it's a life long process and that's what everyone says when others ask but no one seems to be willing to give a person some idea as to how long it will be before they are rewarded with actually being able to do something useful and entertaining which is what I'm interested in knowing.

I was dedicated to practicing my first guitar for 1 or 2 hours pretty much every single day for a month and then I played pretty well. Get used to your instrument. If you really enjoy the ukulele, you will see yourself improve with it. Practice practice practice and it wont take too long. Good luck on your musical journey.

Honestly it depends how much you play it. When I got mine, it took me about a week to learn like 3 songs and it was really easy & fun! So I would say depending on what songs you're choosing to play it would probably be fairly easy! Good luck(:
