Weird Technical Support Phone Call?

Over the past week, I've received a few phone calls from someone saying they work for Microsoft Technical Support. They are calling to tell me that some of the components of my computer aren't working correctly and they there are people trying to access my computer. He wants me to log onto my computer to give him access so he can fix some of these problems that are showing up on his screen. In each instance the caller was of middle eastern descent. Everytime I try to ask a question, he avoids it.

This whole thing seems just kind of weird..I've had Microsoft for over 10 years now and have never had a tech person call me out of the blue..

Is there a legit website or phone number I can call to find out if this is actually Microsoft? Has anyone else had any of these calls?

These are the kind of calls that come from India, or another middle eastern country. They do not work for Microsoft, since Microsoft officials and employees state their First name and their title, and re-state the question that you have asked them.

Random calls from business that you know should be questioned and verified with the business by calling their main line.

It's someone trying to steal your identity. They also

hope they can get access to your computer.

Microsoft will never call anyone. If you answer

just say no thanks and hang up. Block their number

    if you can.

Block their number. Microsoft will never ever ever ever contact you out of the blue. They have no idea how your computer is operating and don't have the means and capability. They are scammers. Don't fall for it.

Yep it's a scam that has even been shown on the news. You should maybe watch it sometimes instead of just playing games.
