Do men wear a kind of emotional makeup?

Do men suppress their vulnerability in an effort to appear more masculine?

If so, is this similar to the way that women wear make up to hide their flaws and appear more feminine?

Both are hiding flaws I assume is what you're saying, to then appear more attractive. However I don't think emotions are a flaw even though for some men it might seem that way, and just because you wear makeup doesn't always mean you have flaws, you could have a flawless face and great self-esteem but simply want to change up your look/style.

Some men do wear emotional make-up. Their emotions frighten them, and maybe they feel like they will lose their power and strength by allowing themselves to address their emotions, but they never really learned how because they learn early on that people expect them to be tough and not cry. I think everyone eventually shows their true emotions under the right circumstances though, no matter how brief.

Women wear make-up to hide superficial flaws and look pretty, but it does affect their emotions slightly. It boosts their confidence, so you could say in a sense that they are similar, but in all honesty women and make-up is not an emotional shield the way acting tough is.

Few men act like their true selves. Often men will put on all kinds of shows to prove to himself and to other than he's as manly as he wants to believe he is. Masculinity and femininity are 90% show 10% substance.

Yes. Both genders put on a front portraying themselves as something their not. Women don't want to come off as unattractive, just as men don't wan't to appear weak.
