It depends on the type of measurement you are placing. There are multiple ways of measuring someone's worth: life expectancy, intellect, strength, speed, agility, memory, IQ, EQ, charm, talent, immunity towards disease, emotional stability, and etc. Really, the list can go on. Of course you can shorten the list to generalize things but if you want the true data what complies a person's worth holds so much information and possibilities that it's practically impossible to judge that.
Let's say a person who is mentally retard. Most people would say that he is worthless, but if s/he manages to warm the heart of emotionally unstable person is s/he really that worthless? What about if s/he are harder working for simple tasks such as gardening or building?
A person's worth changes according towards the situation. You can literally have the "best" doctor mess up a diagnostic because s/he is distracted by something (overworked or depressed). With the complexity of reality to say that everyone is equal is foolish. Unless your measurement is life itself.
The only way that everyone is completely equal is the simple fact that we are all alive, beyond that we are not equal, but our worth is constantly changing according to the situation we are facing.

All of us are not equal. Some people are jealous that others are superior to them and some people are proud that they are superior to others. We dont want an equal world and that is our human nature. If all are equal then all efforts towards progress( to reach others' position) would stop and on the other side people would have to sacrifice their pride and ego (of achievement and superiority over others).

We all vary in many ways so we can't be equal in every aspect. However, when it comes to how we are treated by our fellow humans and how we treat others , we rightfully demand that we love each other as we love ourselves. This manifests in things like respect, justice, and friendship. I think, intuitively, we all recognise this and departures from this in our interactions is felt in a way that we demand, if not expressed, redress in some way that restores this equilibrium state, if you like.

Everything put together, we are all equal on the whole, and yet each of us is uniquely different in his/her own way...... this is the ruling principle in this world for everything.... there are differences as well as similarities, but they happen to be "zero-sum". This is why our ego forever tries to differentiate so as to ensure separate identity is not lost.

No, because no matter how equal they make us, everybody will still complain about equality. So this world will NEVER be equal, even if it is, people won't see that. It's been hundreds and hundreds of years of saying "all men are created equal". Now that saying is just some dull line said by some old guys these days. I used to complain about equality until I actually sat and thought about it. And now I just live life with what I got, and am thankful I got better rights than back than. I am a black women, and when I read about history back than I realize all the freedom I have today, and am thankful. ;)
