Wouldnt the best law against rapist would be to have their penis cut off & afterwards put to jail for a yr or 2 & then hanged.?

you do realize that rapes are not about sex but control. this would stop nothing. it was a crime at one time that would see a person hanged, didn't stop it from happening one bit. so if death isn't enough of a deterrent all we can do is try to keep the rapists out of the human population, since hanging is out of style.

Rape is about the best Frame-up charge there is because a lot of the time it is a case of the woman saying " Oh yes you did " and the man saying " Oh no I didn't " , with little other evidence one way or the other .

Therefore a lot of convictions are on " the Balance of probabilities " rather than clearcut proven verdicts , so a lot of guilty people go free and a fair few convicted people may be innocent either to a degree , or , more rarely nowadays , wholly .

I would say all proven Gang-rapers where two or more perpertrators are involved merit straight execution , including voyeur onlookers who did nothing to intervene when they clearly were capable of doing that without significant risk to their own safety .

Execute the lot , no sympathy here .

But in most cases the degree of proof would be lacking , or the circumstances would be less straightforward .

A one-size-fits-all Law is not appropriate for an offence which can range from a partner in an otherwise consensual relationship getting carried away on one hand , and a terrible sustained episode of brute frenzy by multiple perpertrators on the other .

You aren't interested in justice, you want vengeance. I thought we were civilized? When we resort to being as heinous as the criminals we encounter, all humanity and civilization is lost. We all lose.

And what will you do with female rapists? Cut their genitalia away as well? And if you'll punish men so harsh for rape what will you do with women who try to ruin a men by unjustly blaming him for rape? If we're talking about Africa or the Middle East I can understand your reaction but in the western world all a woman has to do is say she's been raped by someone and the men's life is ruined even if proven innocent afterwards because like I said, humans aren't interested in justice, only revenge.

What we need to do is calm down when it comes to things like rape and pedophilia and other cases. When the guy or woman is PROVEN guilty you can kill him/her for all I care, too many humans anyway, but we have all become so sensitive that lot's off innocent people their life gets ruined by false accusations. Sometimes even if they are proven innocent our justice system is to arrogant to admit fault and rather keep punishing an innocent person like in the example D g gave. And in such a system you're going to start cutting off people's penis? Can only come from a woman. Women who often uses sex to get into a men's wallet by the way or is it coincidence that all rich men have beautiful women? Maybe we should clamp their nipples for a few hours for abusing their sexual advantage like that? It's of course not so severe as rape hence the lighter punishment but it's also taking advantage of your sexual power over the other sex.

Locking a rapist up in prison for life is my honest opinion of how I feel about it. Be it one, or many. Without freedom they have no life. For the life that was taken, in some cases they have done so, in others I think they would if they thought they could get by with disposing of the body easily enough, and this prevents having to force someone into mutilating. I also think it's a chance to give someone who might be innocent a way out at some point if it's proven that way.

You miss the point. A) not all rapists are men.

B)police don't care for justice, they want to close the case and numerous times a confession is coerced. This means they will not do with the expense of a DNA test. Such as the case I stated the man was mentally challenged and even after there was evidence he was wrongly convicted they still didn't let him free. It was the action of a police officer against his orders that got the man released.

This just shows your naive opinion that only the guilty are convicted is false. And since there is no way to bring back the dead

Oh and what happens if they find the guy was innocent after cutting it off. Say oops sorry. And just fyi 20 to 30 percent of rapist in jail are proved innocent with later DNA evidence. Not to mention the guy jailed for 20 ypars because he was a look alike to the real rapist and the fact they were not going to let out the fact that his lookalike was caught on other charges.
