My fiance's 10 year old boy is very disrespectful?
My fiance's 10 year old boy is very rude, walks into a roomful of people and tells them to be quiet so he can talk,or he talks over the top of them,he is very ignorant and his mother just puts it down to him being 'only 10' but I know that is more than old enough to show manners and respect,we took him to a friends Christmas eve party last year where he punched her grandfather in the stomach for wearing a football teams top that he didn't like, what's the best way to tackle this problem?
thanks

OMG! I am a teacher, this is so disrespectful, and will only get worse as he becomes a teenager. If I was his mom, or parents, I would put all of his toys, everything he loves into trash bags. I would then lock it somewhere (a closet or something). I would have a magnet chart, on the fridge, where, by being respectful, he can earn magnets daily. It should be Sun-Sat chart with chores. If he completes them, he gets a reward. Maybe 1st he gets tv time back, then xbox, etc. Until then, he can stare at a blank wall! Make him be respectful before he gets too out of control.

Well first, talk to you fiancee about this. It's their child after all. Tell her that her son is being very rude and that 10 years isn't too young to start learning respect and manners. When you get your fiancee to agree with you then you guy should start disciplining the child.
