Can you prove that your god exists without proving the existence of any other gods or imaginary creatures?
For instance: "God must exist because humans are complex."
You could substitute 'Zeus' or 'Freya' or 'scientifically advanced aliens' and the sentence would make no less sense. Substitute 'evolution' and it actually makes more sense.
Or: "God must exist because the Bible says he does."
Substitute 'Hermione' and 'Harry Potter', 'Gollum' and 'Lord of the Rings', or 'Oedipus' and 'Sophocles'. As you can see, this isn't proof of anything.
Or even: "I prayed to god and something good happened later."
Substitute 'wished on a star', 'threw a penny in a wishing well', 'made a thousand paper cranes'.
Or: "You can't prove that god doesn't exist, so he must be real."
This same reasoning can be applied to anything from unicorns to the Jabberwock.
@Oleg: OK, by that reasoning the Sun must have been a god thousands of years ago, since thousands of years ago a very large number of people worshipped the Sun. Even today people still talk about the Sun and its awesome power all the time. People even write songs about it.
The real question is, did the Sun stop being a god when people stopped worshipping it?
@Tony: That's a good point. Freya's more of a love/war goddess, right?

Everything that exists was created by the laws of nature. Being the Creator makes nature our God.

God cannot be proven to the unbeliever... God only reveals himself to those who seek him with an honest heart. NOT EVEN if He came down to earth, performed miracles and died and came to life again, would you believe... Oh.. wait He did do that! BUT YOU STILL DON'T BELIEVE...If you opened your heart and sought Him with true honesty.. you would find him.. GUARANTEED.. so its really up to you to prove the existence of God.. God works on a personal level.. ONLY..

Well, it is stated in the bible and god wrote it. The there are all of the wise men who came from the east following a star in the east. Oh, wait, that is a joke, as they had to walk backward if the came from the east. Oh well that's OK as almost everything else in the bible is only what the ignorant masses of that time would have believed. But, why would anyone actually believe it now?

I can not, and I'd wager my favorite Mjolnir that nobody else on here can completely prove their deity beyond a reasonable doubt.

one there is no even remotely credible rational case for the existence of any god and trying to justify belief in specific god out of all the available ones just takes it a further level of disconnect from the real world
