I feel so bad for people so easily?

I could be fighting with my sister and then i say something and i feel automatically bad. for example, we were just fighting about something and this slipped out, "kill yourself." and i SOOOO didnt mean it i promise!! it just spilled out. i feel so bad. but shes not the type to care what people think, even though she knows i dont mean it, i still feel bad. and then i was talking to my mom about my dad turning on he ac so much and it wasnt necessarily bad or mean, i just said he puts it on too much. and i felt bad. and now my brother just said this "joke" and i didnt laugh and now i feel bad. Take note, i am so grateful for my life and that i have food on my plate and a roof over my head. There are people dying out there. i promise im not selfish or a typical teenager. How can i stop this?

You didn't mean it and that's what matters, as long as she didn't take it to heart, it's not that big of a deal, your just making it a bigger one because you feel bad for your words. We all say something's that we regret, and there's nothing you can really do but apologize. You clearly care for your sister, and she cares for you. Don't work yourself up about it. And you can't really make it stop aside from measuring your words before you say them, which we all know can be hard. I hope this helped you a little bit. :)

I have a similar issue. Things I've said to people years ago bother me sometimes, and it might not have even been a big deal to them. I can remember things I said to people as a kid and some certain instances still bother me a little. Like as in, man why did I say it that way kind of thing. I know that I don't mean any harm to anyone and I try to make sure I always do the right thing. That's about all you can do.
