I'm Pre-med and need advice on doing research?

I've been doing research for over a year now and I don't enjoy it. I'm not sure if that's because of the type of research or if i just don't like research in general. My school has a research thesis program that gives participants an honors citation on their transcripts. I'm torn between staying and completing the thesis and quitting. If I stay, I'll be here for another year. At this point, I'm not sure if having a thesis and an honors citation is worth going through another year in the lab I work in.

Thanks in advance!

Update:

Note: my issue isn't the rigor of the research I'm doing. I just don't enjoy it.

You can't quit - if you quit now, things gets much more difficult when you start in medical school. What will you do then?
