I purchased a brand new unlocked galaxy s4 on Amazon. Mostly everything about it seems fine and the box was sealed when I got it. My only concern is that the screen cover didn't have the Samsung logo like brand new Samsung phones I've ordered in the past do. It had a generic screen protector. Is this normal for Samsung phones now or should I be concerned? Thanks! :)

We currently have hundreds of fruit flies in our home. We have tried using wine (covered and uncovered), apple cider vinegar w/ soap (with and without fruit), grape juice,and Terro fruit fly traps. We also dump boiling water down the sink regularly to kill possible larvae. Our next step is to hire an exterminator. It seems like one minute they decrease, then the next day they increase again. Any other ideas?

Most political tests I take put me somewhere between Centrist and Libertarian, but I've gotten Democratic and Republican a few times (even got Socialist once!)

I know the equation is E=Ecathode-Eanode, but I struggle with the fact that it is E=Ered+Eoxi. Why is there a sign change in the equation? I'm confused because reduction occurs at the cathode and oxidation at the anode, so I would think the two equations would be the same.

I've been doing research for over a year now and I don't enjoy it. I'm not sure if that's because of the type of research or if i just don't like research in general. My school has a research thesis program that gives participants an honors citation on their transcripts. I'm torn between staying and completing the thesis and quitting. If I stay, I'll be here for another year. At this point, I'm not sure if having a thesis and an honors citation is worth going through another year in the lab I work in. My issue isn't the rigor of working in a lab. I just really don't enjoy it or what is being researched.

I get financial aid through grants & scholarships. Do I have to file taxes? So far, I've only been using my mom's tax return info for FAFSA. Am I supposed to file taxes and use my own info on FAFSA also? I'm a dependent.

Curious because the only two boxes for financial aid on FAFSA are 'financial aid received by parent', and 'financial aid received by student'. When I enter information into 'financial aid received by student' it says I have to also report a gross income.

The anagen phase of hair growth (which is when hair actually grows) is only 2-7 years. After this hair no longer gets nourishment needed for growth. How then do some people grow hair down to their ankles? Wouldn't this be impossible because the hair would have fallen out before then?

Two dreams, about 4 years apart?

Dream 1: I had a dream that I was with my husband and we were hanging out with my friend and her husband. We reached an area w/ snakes covering the entire field. I was terrified. He whispered in my ear for me not to worry, and he took my hand in his. As we started walking, we floated over the entire field and reached the other side (snake free land) safely.

Dream 2 (~4 years later): I can't fully remember the beginning, but I think me and my crush were in the same class and casually spoke. Later on I went to some activity my school was having which turned out to be some sort of amusement park event (similar to a haunted house). When I arrived, I saw him going in with another girl, but I know in real life he has no feelings/attraction towards this girl. I went in alone following behind them. Inside the house/building there was an area that looked like the Amazon and there were tons of snakes. I could still walk on ground, but not without a snake being near my foot (and these snakes were real). I was terrified, and thought about Dream 1. I became distraught because I had no one to go through this with, and the one person I would've loved to go through it with was with another girl. Despite this, I found it in myself to keep walking through. I made it through the snakes, walking side by side with them. When I got out, I didn't see him. He had finished the course long before I did. I felt sad because I really wanted to see him, but at the same time I felt empowered because I made it by myself.

Anyone got an interpretation? And are these dreams related or no?

She's in her 80s and we're from sub-Sahara Africa. Over there, there is an emphasis on community and people are constantly interacting with one another. In America it's completely different. No one really has time to talk with her as much as she is used to. The only time we really spend together is on Sundays. And other elderly people from our country aren't around our neighborhood. I wanted her to join a senior's club, but I'm afraid that the cultural and language differences will be a barrier. Although, maybe this will be good because she will learn more about other cultures.. Any suggestions as to how I can find people for her to become friends with?

He's a very social guy. He talks to just about EVERYONE (except me). We have a mutual friend and sometimes when they're talking, I'll include myself in the conversation or our mutual friend will include me. Even when we're all talking, he still doesn't talk to me, he talks to our friend, but won't reply to anything I say. One time, he was sitting right next to me and still ignored me. He only spoke to our common friend.

I've never had anyone treat me like this before. When I meet new people, they are usually pretty cordial or interested in talking. I just wonder, why I'm being ignored?

I'm not sure what other features he had, but we had sex multiple times in the dream. His penis was made of gold and didn't look like a regular penis, but I knew what it was in the dream. & he used it like how a penis is used. I don't understand the dream or symbolism.

I am Cameroonian, and I get freckles primarily on my face (around my nose/cheeks), but also get a few on the back of my hand. None of my parents have freckles, and they are both Cameroonian. All of my grand and great grand parents are Cameroonian as well. None of them have freckles. I wasn't born w/ freckles, but they began to appear when I was around 8. I have also noticed that during Summer time, a few more will pop up, and sometimes they disappear in the Winter. Sunscreen lessens the amount of new freckles I get.

Could it be a genetic mutation of some sort?

I'm currently in Organic Chemistry, and am doing well in the course (Judging form how I'm doing so far, I'll most likely get an A). However, I got a B in general chemistry lab, and it looks like I'm getting a B in my current lab for Orgo. For some strange reason, the labs are my weak point. At this rate, should I minor in Chemistry? I'll have to take physical chemistry and analytical chemistry/lab.

Since this is only good for one computer, if my current computer were to break down and I had to buy a new one, would I also have to buy a new product key???
