Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses focus on the Kingdom when most nominal Christian religions largely ignore it?
Ironically, while many people are keenly interested in God’s Kingdom, most religions seem to give little attention to it. In this regard, historian H. G. Wells noted how remarkable it is that Jesus gave “enormous prominence . . . to the teaching of what he called the Kingdom of Heaven” and yet, said Wells, this teaching has “comparative insignificance in the . . . teaching of most of the Christian churches.”
Unlike those churches, Jehovah’s Witnesses put great emphasis on God’s Kingdom. Consider: Our main journal, which you are now reading, is published in 220 languages. Nearly 46 million copies of each issue are printed, making it the most widely distributed magazine in the world. And what is this journal’s principal message? Notice its full title: The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom. *
Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses go to such great lengths to announce, or advertise, God’s Kingdom? For one thing, we believe that God’s Kingdom is the central message of the most important book in the world—the Bible. Moreover, we are convinced that God’s Kingdom is the only real solution to the problems facing humans today.
In directing attention to God’s Kingdom, Jehovah’s Witnesses are endeavoring to follow the example of Jesus. While on earth, he made God’s Kingdom the focal point of his life and ministry. (Luke 4:43) Why did the Kingdom mean so much to Jesus? And what can it mean for you? http://www.jw.org/en/video-why-study-the-bible/

Why do JWs focus o the Good News of the Kingdom? Why did Jesus focus on the Good news of the Kingdom? (Mathew 4:23)
We do just as Jesus did, preach the Good news Of the Kingdom. Your question may as well be, "Why do not the churches follow Jesus teaching of the Good News of the Kingdom?"
Here is the reason both JWs and Jesus focus on the Kingdom.
Dan 2:44 tells us the Kingdom will replace all of the governments of the world and it alone will stand forever.
That Kingdom, which Jesus taught all to pray for, will make sure the name of God is held holy or hallowed (KJV) That Kingdom will ensure the earth will become a paradise full of happy righteous people. No one will hunger. No disease will cause pain or suffering. No wars will ever again be waged between men. Peace will reign.
Is that enough reason why we preach, teach and make disciples as Jesus also commanded his followers to do?

1) Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses focus on the Kingdom when most nominal Christian religions largely ignore it?
First: there is only one Christian religion. It is called "Christianity" in English.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/christianit...
The religion of the Jehovah's Witnesses is Christianity. They are not a religion in-and-of themselves:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/jehovah%27s...
So: the question is self-contradictory.
Second: I don't know if it is true that most Christian sects "largely ignore" the kingdom of God. My personal experience indicates that is definitely not true. I suspect that you also do not know this to be true, and that you have experience with extremely few Christian sects apart from Jehovah's Witnesses. (I've had experience with about 20 or so different Christian sects, so even my experience is extremely limited - but none of those 20 "largely ignored" the kingdom of God.)
2) Ironically, while many people are keenly interested in God’s Kingdom, most religions seem to give little attention to it.
That's because most religions are not Christianity and do not teach anything about a "kingdom of God".
3) In this regard, historian H. G. Wells noted how remarkable it is that Jesus gave “enormous prominence . . . to the teaching of what he called the Kingdom of Heaven” and yet, said Wells, this teaching has “comparative insignificance in the . . . teaching of most of the Christian churches.”
The quote is:
a - unreferenced
b - obviously altered multiple times
and therefore is (to put it kindly) very suspicious. Also in question is Well's - claimed to be a historian - expertise with regard to the teachings of Christian sects around the World in modern times. Finally, I could find no online reference to a historian by that name. The quote is highly suspicious for several reasons!
4) Consider: Our main journal, which you are now reading
You *do* realize that is an untrue statement - don't you?
5) Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses go to such great lengths to announce, or advertise, God’s Kingdom?
Presumably to gain new members. Isn't that why you have posted this? To get people interested in Jehovah's Witnesses, hoping that at least a few of them will choose to become Jehovah's Witnesses?

If you're going to focus on the Kingdom and the good news like Christians do... might I suggest that you get it RIGHT first?
Luke 17:20, 21. Luke 24:45-48. Acts 8:35. 1 Cor. 15:1-4, 11. Plenty more where those came from.

Your religion, of which I was (regrettably) a member for over 23 years, as a pioneer, an elder etc... has completely deviated from the real, the only true GOOD NEWS which is Christ, NOT the "kingdom", forming the sole basis and 'cause celebre' for your ORG's existence, as a publishing corporation distributing misleading literature solely designed to foster additional membership in your Pharisaical Org.
Without Jesus' faithful life, death & resurrection, on which, moving forward, everything else would depend on, there would be NO "kingdom". Everything else is superfluous.
Yet, your ORG has disregarded Jesus Christ, sacrilegiously designating Him below your Pope-like, legalistic Governing Body!
Your WT Org will soon answer for that error, as the "despicable thing standing in the Holy Place"!

Though Jesus focused on the kingdom of heaven, he said that IT IS WITHIN YOU NOW. You don't teach that part.
You have no idea what the kingdom of heaven is PRECISELY BECAUSE you are a JW. I, on the other hand, carefully did what Jesus said to do and I FOUND IT. It's an amazing place within the living mindscape (for lack of better words)
You guys are so far off base. You should be calling yourself Paulians.

the JW are teaching false doctrine
most christian denominations do teach about god's kingdom
- PaulLv 77 years ago
Because they picked a few minor points out of the bible (like "tree" instead of "cross"), and became inordinately obsessed with them. Then they wrapped their theology in ignorance and cultish behavior.
That's why.

That's a big claim to attach to a group of individuals. Proof?
I had asked a question about your 'good' news and we can agree it's not all good./question/index?qid=20140...
