cat flea allergy help?

I have been told by the vet one of my cats has a allergy to fleas and i'm looking for some advice. He has been getting frontline every 4 weeks and a steroid and antibiotic injection every 3 months or so depending on how often in flares up. This has been going on for about 3 years now and it is taking its toll on my wallet a bit the vets alone are costing £60 every time. He's a very happy cat when he's not washing like mad

So does anybody have any experience with FAD and can anybody offer any advice?

Sometimes it's not fleas, it's little mites that you cannot see. Those are only killed with Revolution or Advantage Multi. Talk to the vet about those. I you let him outside, keep him indoors and indoors only. Even flea treated, outdoors cats come into contact with fleas and will jump on and bite the cat. Of course the flea will die in the process, but the cat still gets a flea bite and the allergy cycle starts anew.
