What will Barack Obama's legacy be, not what's written, but what will you remember?

The stunning Keynote address a young, brilliant, charismatic Junior Senator Barack Obama delivered at the Democratic Convention remains a powerful message to this day, laying a strong foundation for this impressive young man's run for President in 2008. On election night in November 2008, I was so very proud of the American people who chose our nation's very first man of color with a high-powered mind and a deeply patriotic heart---and I wept with relief and joy that America would now be in good hands as we struggled to overcome the devastations evident at every level from the wayward always-fail policies of the totalitarian nation-destroying rightwing Republicans and the lawlessness of the Bush/Cheney administration. As President-Elect, Barack Obama called upon Congress (both Republicans and Democrats) to put an immediate FREEZE on the second half of the $800 BILLION Bush/Cheney bank bailouts to put an abrupt HALT to the banksters misusing these funds---and only the Democrats responded even though this was not a partisan issue, since the HOUSING COLLAPSE from 2005 through part of 2009 and the subsequent FINANCIAL SYSTEM MELTDOWN adversely affected every city and town, every Congressional district, and nearly bankrupted our trading partners in Europe---we would ALL benefit if the bank CEOs were made to use the taxpayer-funded bailout dollars to fix the messes they had made!
The true greatness of what President Obama has achieved on behalf of this nation will be measured in the context of the covert Inauguration night meeting hosted by spin doctor Frank Luntz and ethically challenged Newt Gingrich, attended by senior lawmakers, for the purpose of deliberately SABOTAGING the U.S. ECONOMY and setting up a pattern of BLOCKAGE for every single nomination and every piece of legislation that the new President would propose in the future, no matter how much merit any of these would have or how badly the nation needed these nominations or legislations---this really did happen! [Read Robert Draper, 2012: "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives."]
All of President Obama's nation-saving, recession-reversing, economy-growing, jobs-creating, auto-industry-rescuing, sea-captain-freeing (from Somali pirates), revenues-generating, middle-class-strengthening, war-ending, trade-deals-negotiating, deficit-slashing, foreign-policy-successes-achieving, defense-contractors-auditing, bin-Laden-getting, Benghazi-ringleader-capturing (on trial in the U.S.), borders-securing (see whitehouse.gov and click on Immigration), "Operation-Coyote"-project-implementing (see whitehouse.gov), manufacturing-base-rebuilding (see recovery.gov), healthcare-insurers-reforming, banks-Wall-Street-regulating, government-agencies-streamlining, Chinese-trade-tariffs-imposing, Syrian-disarmament-deal-brokering, disaster-relief-expediting, grieving-Americans-comforting, international-image-restoring policies seem even MORE MIRACULOUS when one considers that Inauguration night sabotage and blockage meeting of Congressmen and Senators that they all carried out for the past six years. The recent African summit is a historical first that may open many new markets for American-made goods that will benefit the U.S. and the African nations for years to come. The mentoring programs of both First Lady Michelle Obama for young girls (not often publicized, but very effective) and now President Obama with young black males are also going to have long-lasting positive results. My personal favorite was the incredibly subtle, intricately nuanced speech in 2009 before a live and huge Muslim audience against the backdrop of two wars in Muslim nations, one of them an ILLEGAL war, and the inhumane (war crimes) TORTURE ordered by the lawless Cheney/Bush administration of Muslim detainees (some resulting in death) when most of these detainees had not committed any crimes. Israel's Netanyahu was being brutal, Iran's Ahmadinejad had tried to goad Netanhayu by claiming the Holocaust had not happened, Hamas would fire rockets into the bully-brat Netanyahu's Israel, the economy was in the toilet....and President Obama spoke to the world. If taken in context of those conditions, this speech was mind-blowing. And after the speech, without once confronting then-President Ahmadinejad, the first family then flew to Germany with Chancellor Angela Merkel to tour the concentration camp remains that the new President's maternal granddad had helped liberate---quietly showing Ahmadinejad he was wrong without sparking ego. Very POWERFUL! President Obama's legacy is still being shaped, but suffice it to say he will be seen as this nation's greatest leader.

How the Congressional Conservatives have shown more hostility toward this President than any other in history. How he reformed health care that is progressively moving forward to offer coverage to all US citizens. How he has slowly but surely lifted the country out of the Great Recession, regardless of obstruction from the party of NO who created this environment by ignoring WS corruption. That's just for starters.

Bravery and determination. HE saved us from Bushtard;s devastating incompetence, and all the GOP racists are in denial to that. Their ugly hatred toward the black minority has surfaced and fomented. President Obama stands up to them though, and has accomplished much for us.

How much hatred, ignorance, and bigotry still exist in this country.
How President Obama showed me what grace under fire looks like. Kudos, Mr. President.

Was he sent from Hell? Why can't they stop him along with Pelosi and Holder? Would Biden be that bad also?

absolute picture perfect textbook example of abject failure in the presidency. his one notable quality is the mass hysteria that got him elected and continues with him despite the disastrous result of this election on our nation. its truly baffling.
