My name is rabia...im the only daughter for my parents...im 21 years on this November 5th..I always get marriage proposals..before three months my mums friends family liked me and proposed me to their son and I had so much pressure to get married to him..his mum sis and everyone called me and it take me alot of time to escape from it..now recently a family who is living near our house ( they don't even know us that much) asked where im from and all these ..that aunty and her daughters really liked me for their son...they always keep asking my mum to give me to their son...my mum refused to it...now they are asking did we refuse them on purpose but we didn't coz their is no reason to reject them.( the family is really good and they guy is very cute and nice)..but I really don't wanna get married to anyone. Why do I get these proposals?? How am I supposed to run away from them?? How can I stop these proposals

It sounds cultural. I assume the idea is arranged marriage. I doubt you can stop it. You're probably good wife material and these parents want to get their sons married off. Ignore it.Tell them that your family doesn't practice arranged marriage, and you'll only marry for love, and only when you're good and ready. If anyone gets offended that you refused them, simply tell them it's because you don't want to marry a man you're not in love with. Word will spread and the proposals will stop very soon.

Best way to avoid such situation is to spread a rumor that you are already engaged or under the engagement process with any of your far relative or cousin or son of your father friends or mother friends etc. So in this situation no one will bring you any proposal.
So whenever you want to marry, you may again spread it was a lie or it was cancelled due to some xyz reason.
