why isnt my son affectionate towards me?
my son who is 21 years old is affectionate towards my 17 year old daughter and very close to his father but when it comes to me he doesnt like to kiss or hug and even gets annoyed at me. i feel like just a free place to stay and free food. he still lives with me because he is studying at college but how do i get him to be more affectionate with me? whats wrong?

I am more than glad that he is not affectionate with you ;; because if he was it would be totally abnormal
NOTE [ I am the mother of 5 grown up son age 47 to 37 ] and all of them pass the age of 6 ;; there were no more hugs and kiss for mum and I was glad they were already not anymore momys boys
they grew up with a great sense of their responsability and they are real man
SO ;; your son is normal
OK Here a question for you ;; at the age of your son did you still hug and kiss your father ? and if did ;; well you were very childish and your father should have said ;; leave me alone because now you are a woman ; not a little girl

I think that is normal behavior. I have 2 boys, they are still young. It will break my heart when the day comes that they feel that they don't need kisses and hugs from mom anymore, but it is normal and not permanent. When he gets out of that stage where he realizes that giving mom a hug or peck on the cheek is nothing to be embarrassed about he will come around.
