No, you have it backwards. Neither the VP or POTUS are worthy of attending the funeral. Besides, the POTUS is too busy making a local situation in MO even more volatile.

The president or VP never attend a soldiers funeral
they would probably attend one of the Joint Chiefs funerals if they died while serving
but thats about it
2. Why ? because the president cannot attend every soldier who is killed, funeral
so just how do you decide whose funeral he would go to ?
it would cause a lot of issues
3. basiclly every single president that has a soldier killed in action while they are in office
gets critized for not attending funerals by those idiots trying to play partisan politics with the issue

I am not a fan of the current administration- but is the life of a MG worth more than the life of a young PFC? I understand the amount of media MG Greene's death generates, but having the POTUS/VP present could create that impression.
Being said, I doubt that is the reason they were no-shows. I am not offended by their absence.
