accidentally ingested dry battery acid?

so i opened the battery compartment on my wii remote and found that the batteries had leaked and the battery acid was dry. i freaked out because i get paranoid with battery acid. i accidentally put my hands near my mouth (stupid i know) because i started to panic. i washed my hands for like 2 hours literally because i feel like acid is still in my hands. however, i didn't feel any burn on my hands or didn't taste anything in my mouth. could i have ingested dry battery acid? if i did ingest the dry battery acid, will it harm me? could it cause cancer? i'm freaking out and feel really dumb. please help!

I think you're just freaking yourself out. You put your hands near your mouth, not in your mouth. Battery acid wouldn't cause cancer, but it could cause burns. Because you don't feel burning anywhere, you're most likely fine.

If you got just a taste of it from your hands you are fine. Now if you swallowed a bunch it could harm you. Just calm down and get on with your life.
