Second day cold turkey from cigarettes! feels like my mental state is trying to trick me back into smoking every few hours :(?

You're probably just experiencing withdrawal. Try to stay busy to keep your mind off cigarettes. When you get really tempted to smoke, throw away your remaining cigarettes (if you have any) and try to stay away from other people smoking. Best of luck and I hope you break your habit.
