    I'm trying to use Kava Kava tablets to relax like my doctor told me (he doesn't want me on anymore benzos, I'm already on 3 different types). How many 200mg Kava tablets (bought at Walgreens) should I take to feel ANY type of relaxation. I had the same problem with St. John's Wort. It was supposed to help depression, but didn't. Do ANY of these "herbal remedies" work? I've heard good things about pure Kava root, but I don't feel like brewing Kava tea each time I get nervous. I'd just prefer to know how many tablets to take to get that relaxed feeling.

    YES, doctor has approved the taking of Kava with benzos, as long as the dosages aren't close together. I usually take benzos at bedtime to sleep.
