And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.
17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

If you were walking thru the desert and were dying of thirst, would you try asking the Hindu god for a last chance and water?

No, I'd dig for water. Most deserts actually have fairly high water tables. So water or at least wet soil is only a few feet down.

No way, as their is thousands of crazy Arabs dying fighting in the Gaza Strip, and they are the most religious mob in this world and no god is helping ! They rabbited on with their yab yab loud praying for no avail, shooting madly into the air, why do Arabs do that shooting madly into the air ? Where is this god,I think it is all just fictional mythological yaba yaba, man made madness. The Jesus that the religious mob talk about comes from over in these Arab countries, what happened, are they all just mad.

I've been in much more dangerous situations than that, and I never resorted to praying to imaginary beings for safety/resources. That would be as useful as trying to pull water out of a hat like a magic trick!

The water would be no more real than God is. I can't speak for your hypothetical atheist but I would either cut into a cactus for the watery sap or look for a line of cottonwood trees and dig for water or just keep heading downhill.

No. For a start I would not put myself in that position and secondly I know enough about desert survival to be able to find water. Just because there is no visible surface water does not mean there is no water - and I won't need a god to help me find it.

Nope, they would be like, "Hm, I'm in a sweltering desert, there's no water for miles, and I'm incredibly dehydrated. I should've planned this out better."
Or, they would be smart and use one of these methods:

Nope, i'd have my peace and die under my own conditions, not somebody else's. Also i could probably find water in the dessert, just have to find a good spot. No god needed

No, because there is no god.
And the point is that there were christians who died of thirst in desert before.
