Why do guys like playing with there girlfriends hair so much?

pretty self explanatory, but like there girlfriends, or a girl they like, why are they always playing with our hair?

My boyfriend does this a lot and I was just wondering why. :)

    They're always playing with something! If a guy has a girlfriend, he likes to play with the hair. if there's a bush next to him, he would like to play with the leaves... .
