Can you switch frrom AROTC to AFROTC?

I wanted to join AFROTC beforehand however financial problems led me to stay on Guam. Since the University on Guam only provides AROTC I had no choice but to enroll in the program. I haven't accepted any scholarships or contracted yet in AROTC. However, I am planning & saving up to move in the summer of my sophomore year of college & I was wondering if that is too late to join AFROTC. An alternative is to stick with AROTC, but my family is against it due to the "hardships I will face as a female
