    You do realize little lady that Fontana was not a priest and this movie was filmed in a doubtful way. :P

    Riccardo Fontana never doubted the Christian faith. It was the Church officials not acting accordingly that he was disappointed at. Riccardo Fontana s joining the Jews at concentration camp is his one way of saying that "This is what true Christians do... loving their sisters and brothers regardless of race, culture or religion - being in solidarity with them. True Christians love in deeds, not only words."

    You are really asking a question that very very few people are even aware of. Did you know there are at least 3 movies named "Adam"? And your movie is still quite old dating back to 2002. But here is a quote:

    "While the character of Kurt Gerstein is historical, the character of the young priest is fictional as well as the plot".
