  • its impossible to tell.

Either we will continue to follow the liberal path and march towards a balance of Fascism/socialism like the carter years until all wealth is sucked from the populace ending in insolvency with the only exit being world war

Or we change direction like when Reagan took office and have another economy boom like the 80's.

Or better yet incur stability like the Clinton years by completely tying up the presidency and congress over endless political loops.

the later two are unlikely because the younger crowd today hold more of a multicultural world view that leads itself to the destruction of the state from within. Its what killed Rome. We have been heading in the same direction Rome did since 07 when the Dems took Congress. Common Core and cap and trade are the last nails in our coffin, causing the devaluation of the dollar and dumbing down our children. it will take about 1 more generation before our country falls apart

A slow decline in our standard of living until all the people around the world make the same amount of money and have the same standard of living. That is what globalization has accomplished, not that we could stop it. As corporations have taken their jobs abroad, at first the people there were willing to work for slave labor. Now, in places like China and Vietnam they are beginning to strike for better pay. Yet we here are willing out of desperation to take anything we can get, so our wages are dropping. Eventually, there will no longer be any motivation for corporations to outsource their jobs and they will bring them home to save transportation money. The US government will stop pretending that it matters who we vote for and just install who they want in Congress.

I go with T. S. Eliott, "not with a bang but a whimper."

We will probably join the EU because they have us by the money. But at some point there will be the realization that we should have stood with Russia against what is going to be a new form of slavery. But by then, it will be a hard fight back to just freedom.

    A very hard fight.

Liberty or tyranny. Regardless of the number of parties and ideas to go along with them variations of liberty and tyranny are always the only two choices. The people have to determine how much they want the State involved in our affairs, very little or a lot.

Bosnian-style civil war of all against all. Gun nut racists will not succeed in enslaving everyone else but won't quit trying.
