39 weeks & 3 days pregnant! Could I be starting labor and not even know?! Please help! 1st time mom.?
I'm 21 years old, 1st time mom and so confused. I have been leaking a lot of fluid and I'm not sure if it is urine or my water leaking. I have super slimy discharge along with that anonymous fluid that I notice on my panties when I use the restroom. I have SUPER uncomfortable cramps all around my lower abdomen that feel like menstrual cycle cramps, they make me feel like crap. I'm just wondering, is this the start of labor? I've never been so uncomfortable with these cramps and having to change my panties all the time. I have also heard that the slimy discharge could be my mucus plug passing! Please help if u can!

Yes, it's very likely that your cramps are the start of labor. But early labor can last a long time -- when it's time to go to the hospital you will know it .. and you wont' be posting questions on Y!A -- you'll be focusing on breathing through your contractions.
(BTW, it's really not necessary to go to the hospital to see if your water has broken. If, as seems to be the case, you are in early labor, the fact that your water has broken is irrelevant. At best they'll check it, say 'yup, it's your water.' and send you home to wait for labor to progress further. At worst they will admit you and put you 'on the clock' , so if you dont' progress fast enough to suit them, you'll end up on pitocin and/or having a c-section.
The only exception would be if you know yourself to be StrepB+. (In which case the doctor would have TOLD you to call/go in as soon as your water broke.)
