What does Matthew 7:7-11 mean? I have asked, and nothing but bad has come?!?

I am afraid you have posted in the wrong area. That said I did some research and have read it.

In my opinion its telling us to have a go. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Its also reminding us that your parents will help if they can.

I expect that some people would misread it to say if you ask God he will provide it. That is clearly child like thinking as while any parent will do all they can to support you, only a foolish parent will jump to his child's every demand.

it means nothing no one knows who matthew was he lived 200 years after the events he describes so didn't have any direct knowledge of anything he wrote about
