Moved to America but want to go back to Britain?

We moved to america but I really don't like it here and really want to go back home to England. Only problem is that i've missed about a month of school in the process of moving and i'm worried that if I go back to my old school now I would have missed loads and will find it really hard to settle back in.

I really can't see myself settling in over here but then I also can't see myself trying to settling back in back home either! I honestly wish we had never moved because then I wouldn't have to settle back in.

Any advice on what I should do?

Update:

Yes I do know that I am a minor and have to do whatever my Mum says, but the whole reason we moved in the first place was because my Mum wanted a better life for me and my sister, but even my mum is saying she feels 'homesick' and just wants what is best for us. I think the whole decision was rushed seeing as this is my first time in America EVER and all of a sudden we are living with strangers i've never met before and it all just feels wrong.

I dont understand you moved to the USA, dont like it and want to go back to the U.K but feel you wont settle down again back in U.K. Question is, what motivated the move out of the U.K in the first place and why did you move to the USA if you didnt really know the country very well.

It always looks great on TV,but real American life is totally different, surely you realize that.

Many people make the mistake of thinking that a foreign country is the "holy grail" without first making a thorough examination of themselves and what it is that they are really looking for first.

Its best that you move back to the U.K as its your birth country, examine what it is about the U.K that you do not like and then decide where you would rather be, but first checkout the new country carefully, from the top down, that usually requires several visits.

Some times we go and move to a new country and there is a culture shock and that could be what you are experiencing and it takes while to overcome that inital shock. Go home !

If you are a minor you should talk to your parents and maybe they can arrange that you stay with a relative back home. When I was a kid my dad worked in the British Virgin Islands for 3 years, I stayed in England with my cousin.

Are you a British citizen? Are you a minor child? If you are a minor child, you stay with your parents. Suck it up, and get used to new environment, new school, make new friends. You cannot live on your own, so you are not going "home" - home is with mom & dad.

If you are over 18, do as you please - and expect to have to pay for it yourself.

There's no place like ome. Do you have mates in school who can help you catch catch up?
