Those who might consider it a curse simply don't have a lot of children.
Responsible people everywhere in the world consider it irresponsible to have more children than they can expect to provide a good education and comfortable life for.

Today in the USA it cost about $250,000.00 to raise a child to age 18, Then it gets expensive if they go to
University. So raising 8 children would require 2 million dollars. At the poverty level of existence they
might squeeze by for 1.5 million. But how many families have that kind of income?
That is why sex education is so important. Most large families are no planned
rather they are the result of lack of knowledge on the subject.
A century ago farmers did plan for large families because they needed all the help
on the farm.

I think in a world that is having problems feeding all that need food, having an excess of children is thoughtless. Responsible parents make sure they have the where with all to provide for their children so that they live a better life than they do and that requires a large amount of money. Having children that can't live to their full potential is thoughtless.l
