Is it bad to run distance while trying to build muscle?
So I'm trying to build muscle and bulk up a bit, but I'm wondering if running a few miles everyday would negatively affect this process. If I were to run a few miles as well as lift, would that be ok in terms of building body mass?

I think it's a good idea to mix it up and do cardio with muscle building, but don't do it on the same day. Lift weights on M W F and run on Tu. Th. You should also have at least 1 day of rest. You build muscle up by tearing it down so when it heals it grows back bigger and stronger so it needs time to heal so I think running on your off days is a good idea.
Decide for yourself. I assume you've been keeping records of your growth? Next week try doing the weight training 3 days a week and running 2 days a week and do this for 2 weeks and see what your progress is. If you didn't make as much progress as before then stop it if you make more progress keep doing it.

If you want to build muscle you are going to want to avoid too much running because you burn fat and you are going to need that fat to build muscle.what you want to do is have a routine for example on Mondays do arms: lift weights ,push ups. Tuesdays do abs: sit ups scissor kicks curl ups no more than five minutes Wednesday do cardio: run , treadmill Thursday do legs: squats
Friday you can either pick abs or arms ohh and remember to eat or drink a protein meal or shake after you workout

Not at all, running improves your heart and increases stamina. Both things you need. Plus builds up the butt and leg muscles.
