How does South Korea have such a strict standard of beauty?

It's not "strictness", it's the unsatisfaction of people.

Koreans are quite of a bullies and racist, people tend to get plastic surgery to avoid people for making fun of them.

Due to that more and more people got addicted to plastic surgery and as people's taste also changes in time, looking for someone with unique looks became a trend.

Do not be so curious. Curiosity always kill the cat. You are definitely wrong on your assumption. Well everybody make mistakes every once in a while regarding their perception of things around them. There is no such thing as strict standard of beauty. Beauty belong to the eye of the beholder, I suppose you heard this one a thousand times, if not then you absolutely do not go out more often than you should.

Maybe what you read is quite different from everybody's opinion. You should have quoted some of the things that article you have read in the South Korean journal so that we could clearly see what you read is correct in your own perception. But you didn't. We cannot rely on your own opinion because that is not what we normal people think. Koreans all look the same if you happen to see some of them on tv. One could even mistaken them for Chinese or Japanese.
