Why won't Obama admit we need troops to destroy ISIS?

It's pretty obvious we need them, our Military commanders say we need them and our Speaker of the House says we do

Why won't our President admit it

because Obama took our troops out of Iraq to look like a hero. he wanted to show America that he could "fix" what Bush (apparently) did during his terms. Obama is a fool. He should have left some troops there, but he did not and now it's become a disaster over there again.

he's wrong and he won't admit it. that's why he doesn't want to send troops.

Barack wants Iraqi boots on the ground. If the US sent in the marines why would they bother? With US airpower and native ground observers any concentration of ISIS fighters will be vulnerable. The bums aren't supermen...they got in a significant sucker punch and followed up on it using stolen equipment that has no maintenance backup. In six months or less all of this will be turned around...without sending in the marines.

If you don't like the president just say so...you don't need an excuse as lame as this 'question'!

My thinking is that he doesn't want to be known as the president who sent troops back to Iraq.

So he's hoping that between the air strikes, and Kerry raising a coalition of Arab Nations, that the US won't have to send in ground troops...until the next president (whoever it is) is inaugurated 2 years from now.

Because it's not OUR Conflict. And Because unlike Bush; He doesn't want Us to get into another War- that He has absolutely NO Idea HOW we're going to get Out of... :(

Even with troops, ISIS cannot be destroyed. It feeds on the evil of conservatism.

I believe Pres. Obama wants his term to be viewed as the one who wanted no U.S. troops fighting anywhere. Surprise. Sometimes, the President must do what is in the country's best interest. We do not have the luxury of isolationism.

I think it may come to that. Just don't know when. Air-strikes isn't going to solve the problem. I don't think he want's to start another war.

For the same reason he won't admit that sequestration hasn't worked .... HE BLEW IT.

Are you willing to pay a war tax to start paying off the incredible debt such actions would incur (now and for decades into the future for care to the injured)?

If the next president sends troops, I want your sons, daughters, and all your cousins on the front lines first.
