Christians, is it right and just that a child should be born HIV positive and die of AIDS..?

Update:

...if his father had sinned by visiting a prostitute and then transmitting the disease to his wife?

"We affirm that Adam, the first man, willfully disobeyed God, bringing sin and death into the world. As a result, all persons are sinners from conception, which is evidenced in their willful acts of sin; and they are therefore subject to eternal punishment, under the just condemnation of a holy God"

So children should be punished for the sins of their parents, yes?

Of course not! Children are NOT eternally punished for anything that their parents have done, especially if a child is born HIV positive and eventually dies of AIDS. The parent who contracted the HIV (and passed it on through their genes) is the one responsible for their own acts of immorality and depravation. That parent WILL receive condemnation and will be judged for deliberately harming an innocent child.

    No, it is not.

The Bible is quite clear: the World - the physical, mortal, sin-filled World - is neither right nor just. With few exceptions, true ("full") justice is only meted out in the afterlife - not in this life.

If you read what you quoted, it teaches

    - not that we inherit punishment

    - but, rather, that we inherit a sinful nature, and (implied) **our own acts of sin** that are a consequence of our inherited sinful nature leads to eternal punishment

It's an unfortunate part of a sin-cursed world.

it's her mother's fault who passed the disease to her

EDIT: Yes, father, mother, whoever. Don't think I'm trying to defend fathers. Men as bad as women. And the child isn't being punished because there's no God.

Since God isn't real and there's neither punishment nor rewards, then why does it bother you that some people believe in some superstitions. Let them believe whatever they wanna believe
