0bamma: Voter ID laws really don't prevent people from voting --- So, why are Democrats against Voter ID laws?

"Most of these [Voter ID] laws are not preventing the overwhelming majority of folks who don't vote from voting.

Most people do have an ID. Most people do have a driver's license. Most people can get to the polls."

~ 0bama, 10/21/2014, Interview with Al Sharpton

Update:

@Think 1st

#1 - This is not the same question as before.

#2 - I've focused on the essence of the quote.

0bamma has been shamed into admitting Voter ID laws are appropriate. But, of course, he followed that admission with excuse making.

    It's difficult to get dead people to vote-----if they have to produce ID. It's difficult to vote more than once-----if they have to produce ID. It's difficult to get illegal aliens to vote-----if they have to produce ID. I COULD go on, but I think you get the general idea.

    Because full quotes are better, and correct.

    Same as last time you asked.

    Left off the "It may not be as convenient' it may be a little more difficult." at the end.

    I think a Federal ID should be needed to vote for Federal office, not an easily forged State DL.

    Might be inconvenient for those that do not trust The Fed, but it will cut all that nasty fraud.

    EDIT.The essence of the quote would have contained the full sentence.

    In a normal mind.

    Because they're intended to make it harder for certain groups of people to vote. The only reason they're not stopping voters is a bunch of liberal charities and volunteer organizations have been helping people get the required form of ID.
