Does the YA Appeals process actually work?

I mean, have you ever had an appeal upheld and your answer reinstated, and your points restored?

It used to. Have to lodge an appeal. If button to appeal doesn't work, as now, dead in the water. At times, after submission it gave the appearance submission had taken place, only to hear nothing, and be told when tried to appeal, too late, times up.

If link is dead, if appeal won't submit, "times up"!

Yes! Someone took exception. She asked why would a woman get herself pregnant by a married man and boast it was a blessing?

Someone took the view it was not a question. Appealed! Won!

It used to work! Nowadays it seems to be the wild west!

Does the appeal button nowadays work?

Not the only one to query that!

Click on the link, it takes you to "answer a question".

Opinion seems to be the appearance of "appeal" is there, just not the option. Someone said they sent an email, came back "can't deliver".

Someone answered the number of appeals must have been taking up more and more time.

    Who knows!

Most have given up the effort of making an appeal.

    Too much time, effort required!

Yes, some users have won appeals on reported questions or answers. Many users do say that the appeal link that comes with the violation doesn't always work so if you run into that problem, you might want to try the alternate appeals link. Just select "appeals" and follow the instructions, if you encounter information that you don't know just say unknown.

Yes, I have. There was a question about what should be done with an injured squirrel.

My answer was a link to a cooking site with a recipe for squirrel. I didn't get best answer but, that person did block me after the successful appeal so, mission accomplished!

Timely question indeed, as I was reported just yesterday. I appealed it and won, my points were restored and my comment was put back where it was. The whole process took about three hours which is pretty quick, especially for Yahoo.

So yes, it works, at least for now.

It does,as i have won some appeals, but the last few violations i have appealed i didn't get any responses, and it was no doubt about it that i was wrongfully reported. It isn't so much about the points,as i can gain more points but it is the fact that i was wrongfully reported. But it is what it is,i don't lose any sleep over it.

Yes many times just be absolutely sure you've been wronged before you appeal, oftentimes a post may seem innocuous but still be a violation.

It may work for other people, but never for me.
