I want to buy a gift for my friend’s wedding scheduled on this Christmas.?

HI guys I want to buy a gift for my friend’s wedding scheduled on this Christmas. She loves adornments, but sadly I can’t afford anything very expensive. Can anyone lease share a good idea of what can be given?

Places like Belks/Wal Mart and ( TJ Max is great) have good sales on glassware, crystal or lead crystal and come pre-boxed///but have clerk check to be sure it is not broken and check the edges for chipped places, then re-box/////, perhaps a serving plate with a Christmas design or a candy dish with a Christmas motif (inscription) filled with candy (silver bells or the red and green silver bells --Hershey kisses--we always called them silver bells---I think the silver or gold ones look weddingy, the silver more so than the gold)---and have a silver or gold ribbon tied around the top unless the top is flat then you can just double fold a piece of scotch tape and attach a silver ribbon (silver will look more weddingy to me than gold as gold is the color of 25th anniversary) or have a small bow made by florist that is white with wedding bells or some such on it and add a touch of something silver, florist will know what to do and should be very inexpensive or buy ribbon at Dollar Tree and make yourself---can even just buy a plain candy dish at Dollar Tree----be sure to check edges for chips or rough places-----, fill with silver bells, and spruce it up with a bit of Christmas decoration) and/or add one of the little premade clip on decorations that is sold at dollar stores, like has a couple of little silver balls/ornaments and a piece of holly or silver leaves).

    OR

If they drink wine, a couple of wine glasses decorated with a Christmas bow and a bit of holly, etc. Again be sure to check edges, you can find nice ones at Dollar Tree--hold up to the light for any imperfections in the glass.

    OR

find a place like in the middle of the mall that has ornaments and have either their names or the date of their wedding put on it or look for a nice one that says Just Married

First of all, a wedding present should be for the couple - both of them.

You also, according to the rules of etiquette, have a year to gve them something and still have it count as a wedding present. On top of all of that, a wedding is not an obligatory gift giving occasion - it's a nice thing to do, but you can still properly attend the wedding and only send a nice card.

SO - knowing all of that, you might consider giving her an all-subject etiquette book as a bridal shower gift if she doesn't have one- You can get them online, look for Emily Post...

Or, if you wanted to get them both something, you might look for a nice alpaca throw blanket to snug under on the couch. There are plenty to choose from on eBay. These are really yummy, and can end up being one of the best things they get.

Check her registry - if you don't know where she is registered, just call her (or anyone in her bridal party) and ask. Most couples register for a wide range of gifts, so you can get her a simple kitchen utensil and a recipe to go with it.

You can also make her a gift: a poem, a story, a framed photo of the couple.

There will be a lot of sales know to Christmas.

Look at the sales and see if you could fine something you could afford.

You could look at places like Marshalls or TJmax, they might have something in your price range.
