Will taking a not running for a week have a serious impact?
So for the past 2 months I've been running every Monday Wednesday and Friday in hopes of lowering my run time (long story short PT Test) I haven't run since last Wednesday because I went to AZ with my unit. I didn't run Monday because I was still nursing a hangover. The rest of the week the weather has been god awful. I've been working harder on my run time than anything in the past. Will it have a major impact?

No, but when you resume, take a step back from the intensity and then gradually work up to your latest time, perhaps over the next few runs. Like any intense fitness program, it's okay to take a break, but never okay to resume at the same level of intensity, otherwise you risk injury to your muscles and joints. Be sure that you have routine of stretching, before and after your run and drink plenty of fluid throughout your waking hours. Your body needs water for all it's major organs and your muscles need hydration to perform well. And, moderate your intake of alcohol. Getting plastered will do nothing but harm to your intended goal.

a lot of people take time off. between seasons my coach encouraged everyone to take a week to two off. as long as you ease back into it and don't go at the same level as when you left off you'll be fine
