Do any of you Atheists find Bible Bashing incredibly Relaxing ?

Atheism is the dumbest faith of all time. God is real. There are too many religions, too many near-death-experience accounts, too many revelations, there are too many theists for God to not be real. Why is the majority of the world theists?! Get over it. The Bible is indeed the word of God and all atheists will reap whatever they sow... Bash the Bible and relax. Relax all you want because there will be no relaxing in Hell. There will screams of torment and weeping and gnashing of teeth. Go ahead and relax now.

Nothing really wrong with the mythology of the bible.

The problem is adult people pretending it is more than it is, and thinking it gives them the right to force everybody else to do their bidding.

Pukka said it perfectly. It is primitive superstition, and there is no place in the 21st century for primitive superstitions.

Humanity has to grow up and shed the superstition to survive.

My evangelical, fundamentalist parents raised me to be analytical, objective and to learn everything that I can. In fact, not a day went by when my mother would say "the day you stop learning is the day you die". After years of learning beliefs about the Bible and what it says, I started to objectively learn about its actual history. Frankly after researching creationist claims, I think they are much worse liars than politicians and consider most apologetics to be little better than "The National Enquirer". For a religion that has one of its ten commandments as not bearing falsehood, I have to say that Christianity tells a whole lot of baseless lies and believes them to be true.

You can call showing why the Bible is completely wrong as "bashing it", but I call it being objective and learning about what actually happened.

Nope, do you find it incredibly relaxing to throw it in our faces every time we try to debunk your stupid ideas? Honestly, we don't give a f*** about Christianity. But you're always talking about it. You say this is a Christian country, and that we need to get God back in our schools. We get sick of you proselytising to us. We get sick of you telling us that we are wrong. We get sick of you telling us how we are going to burn for all eternity. We represent the anger of hating indoctrination. We represent the happiness of knowledge. We represent the sadness and despair of the bad state of the human condition because of you. We represent emotions, because we are human. We represent freedom, and the ability to not believe. We go against the grain because that is what is right for us. If you have a problem, go f*** yourself.

What's relaxing about having bible verses spout out at you?

I find it intellectually stimulating to read the bible and watch it bash itself.

Not really. I like the Bible. In the same way that I like Homer or Virgil.

I actually do not think of the bible very often. I have examined it, found it wanting, and abandoned it. Then it was time to move on to reality.

I bash superstition..it has no place in the 21st century
