What is the scariest psychological thriller you've ever seen?

The last act of Orphan is kind of silly but up until then it's scary as f*ck. It is an underrated horror film in my opinion. My favorite psychological thriller is probably Rosemary's Baby because it sort of puts you in the head of the main character. You know something is going on but you can't prove it and it sort of drives you insane as you watch this woman be psychologically tortured. Terrifying film. Also, there is a movie out right now called The Babadook that is one of the scariest psychological horror films I have ever seen.

None of them scare me but one of the very best ones for story and for at the time special effects was the French thriller Les Diaboliques in which a wife and her husband's mistress conspire to kill the husband but then there are some very strange twists.

Scary? I think films like "Eraserhead" and "Mulholland Drive" are terrifying because it really taps into your psyche and hit a little too close to home. Such surreal experiences but that make you go, "hey. I've felt this way before". If you want more realistic films, I would go with "The Orphanage". Great, great film with some truly creepy moments.

Hitchcock's 1960 "Psycho". There's a generation of women who wouldn't shower while alone in the house.

I would say Taxi Driver but I've heard Donnie Dario is good never watched it though
