If your child said they wanted nothing more to do with you, would you let them suffer for the rest of eternity or would you forgive them?

Because apparently god will send all non-christians to hell. Some loving father he turned out to be. Would you let your child suffer or would you just accept their mistake and love, protect and forgive them anyway?

Oh, Come on Rhiannon, you've been here 2 months now and you have not learned anything about HELL . . .

God does NOT send anyone to HELL, you have to DIE to goto hell.

Hell is nothing more that the common grave and is a holding place

for ALL dead humans untill Jesus calls the Resurrection so we

can face the Judgment, where God decides whether you live or die.

If you ASK for forgiveness in Jesus name it will be granted and be heaven bound.

or if you do not ask, you are bound for the Second Death in the Lake of Fire

Rom_6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Good point.....however Hell in the Bible is nothing more than the grave or in the case of Rev 20 it is symbolic of total destruction!

The word "hell" is a english word so you need to understand what the original Hebrew and Greek words are from where the English word hell is translated.............Hell basically means a "ever lasting cutting off" from where there is not resurrection hope!

The description is found here at Rev 20: 13-15......"And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des* gave up those dead+ in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.+ 14 And death+ and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire.* This means* the second death,+ the lake of fire.+ 15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life+ was hurled into the lake of fire"

The lake of fire is symbolic as is most of Revelation and means as it says in that scripture "the second death", after all how could you throw a CONDITION such as death and the grave into a fire ?

Also....Jehovah is a God of LOVE and his word the bible says "the wages sin pays is death" NOT burning someone for not doing as he tells them to do, let me ask you would you out your childs hand into a fire cos they did not do what you asked them to do ? does that sound like a loving thing to do?

Well then, why would you think that God would burn you and torture you for all eternity for not doing a he asks ?

If an adult child said they wanted nothing more to do with you, you could trap them and enforce them to live in a bubble in your house, but they would not be very appreciative and most likely would be searching for a way to escape. God respects individual soul's freedom to chart their own course. He warned that going away from His instructions leads to death. If a soul still chooses to ignore that, they forsake their own mercy of His protection and blessings.

if my child refused to have any thing more to do with me than yes he must face the consequences for his actions

    god is a loving father

a father does not approve of their son doing evil wicked things

    your reasoning is skewed

Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Gods are imaginary. They cannot send anyone to ay place that is as well imaginary, like heaven or hell.

    Get real.

You may want to read the story of the Prodigal Son.

God is that father, perpetually standing in the roadway, tears streaming down his face, arms spread wide, ready to welcome all of us.

I would allow them to live their lives as they saw fit for after they are 18 it is their choice and not mine.
