I see 2 - 8 questions a day here from clueless Filipinos asking what their SSS loan balance is, or, even worse, telling us they forgot their SSS number, their PAG-IBIG number, or their PhilHealth number. All three are government programs in the Philippines. Their Social Security has an extra S.

Virtually all of them have been members for 1 day or less and have 95 points, which means they joined up to ask one question and will probably never visit Y!A again to see if they got an answer, and will never award BA.

Americans can be just as clueless, but their ignorance doesn't form a pattern.

Even so, the most stupid of humans are smarter than the smartest apes. Which other living thing on earth can read and write or even make a chair? As long as they can see that 1+1=2 then they can be reasoned with and do work. It's not as bad as you think, i believe. I also think we may collapse, many civilizations have, but we never had trouble rising from the ashes bigger and better. I believe we'll be fine.

We live longer on average, have better education, fewer children, better health, and more wealth, than at any time in history.

The overwhelming majority of humans only need to be over average intelligence for us to achieve this. I think we'll be okay.
