    Solve the equation 4y + 11 = 51.

    4y + 11 = 51

    4y + 11 - 11 = 51 - 11

    4y = 40

    4y/4 = 40/4

    y = 10 ANSWER

    Expand 3(x - 1).

    3(x - 1) = 3x - 3 ANSWER

    Simplify the ratio 9:21.

    9:21 = 9/3:21/3 = 3:7 ANSWER

    Simplify 2e + 3e + 5e.

    2e + 3e + 5e = 10e ANSWER

    Use the rules of negative numbers to calculate -2x4.

    Assuming that you mean...

    (-2x)^4 = (-2x)(-2x)(-2x)(-2x) = 16x^4 ANSWER

    If x = 6, what is the value of 5x + 1?

    x = 6

    5x + 1 = 5(6) + 1 = 30 + 1 = 31 ANSWER

    1. y = (51-11) / 4 = 40/4 = 10

    2. 3x - 3

    3. Dividing by 3 you get 3 : 7

    4. Just adding numerals we get 10e

    5. I can't follow

    6. value will be got as 5(6) + 1 = 31
