I have to get my blood drawn tomorrow and I'm really scared?

So tomorrow I'm getting my blood drawn. Is there anything I can do so I don't get dizzy, nauseous, or faint. I'm going to Quest Diagnostics can I request a thin needle? And if I can, which needle? I'm so scared of needles, how long is it going to take to get my blood drawn?

I'm getting a blood test not donating. Any guesses on how much blood they will take??

Hahah, I used to be scared of getting blood tests. I find that if the person doing the blood test is talking to me about stuff, such as how school and all that is going, I'm fine. It also helps to just close your eyes and look the other way, and focus on something else throughout the whole time. I've heard of people requesting something called a butterfly needle, but I don't know if they have those. For me, they usually take 2-5 tubes. Good luck!

Blood test aren't as bad as they sound. I'm terrified of needles. When I was in 5th grade we had to get out shots and I passed out and woke up in the hospital. And I can say my blood test was nothing like that. They don't usually to ale allot of blood. Usually less that 30 seconds. Most places have smaller needles but I don't really think they help. That just my opinion though. Just try not to focus on the needle. It seems difficult but it's not really. I try to make challenges for myself like how many times I can think of the alphabet before they take the needle out.

I've had to get blood drawn before, it was a few years ago, I think I was like 13 or 14. I was really scared, but once you actually see the needle and all that it's not that scary. I got over my fear pretty quickly. Just try your best not to think about it, you don't really feel much when it's going into your arm, just a little pinch. Don't worry about it, you'll be fine.

Depends on what they are testing for. Could be 1 to 5 tubes. Just take a deep breath, relax and let it happen.
