Will this be a dry event?

I was invited to a fraternity "event" that calls for casual attire at 10pm...

I can't ask anyone in the fraternity if it will be dry because it'll make me look bad (i want to rush them and don't quite know them).

But I'm really hoping for alcohol! If I don't get alcohol or something to drink... I'll have a nightmarish time.

No telling. Don't ask that question either. It will make you look like you are only in a fraternity to party. Eventhough fraternities have the reputation of party 24/7 they don't want members that are jsut there to party.

At everyone of my fraternity's "Dry events" there was alcohol, it was hidden, and it was only offered to those we thought could keep their mouths shut about it, not those seeking it.

If it is directly related to rush, then it is a dry event at most schools. If it is a party, that is not related to rush, then i would still recommend not getting super drunk. But putting a flask in your back pocket to kill the nerves wouldn't hurt anything I guess.

If freshmen are invited, it should be "dry".
