The site says, "We at the Church of Google believe the search engine Google is the closest humankind has ever come to directly experiencing an actual God (as typically defined). We believe there is much more evidence in favour of Google's divinity than there is for the divinity of other more traditional gods."

I'm not surprised at all. People will worship anything. Did you know that there's a Church for Beyonce now? It's called ChurchofBey and someone actually killed themselves in "honor" of her. Sickening. :/

I don't want to make excuses for them, but Google does know all, and responds instantly to every search query. That's better results than I ever got from prayer.
