Is someone intentionally changing categories?

Update:

I've noticed over the last few hours that a lot of the "Hunting" questions have been moved to "other sports", "Polls" and a few more places when the word HUNTING is in the freaking question. I've changed them back but anyone else notice this messed up situation? Obviously Yahoo,in its infinite wisdom is just fine with this approach...

Update 2:

Yeah, sorry about that into-HATE format Yahoo uses now. But since "HUNTING" is a hater category for some people they abuse the power and start moving OBVIOUS hunting questions into harder to find categories.

Update 3:

This is in HUNTING because it affect the HUNTING community--someone already moved it !!!!

    YES.... It's quite intentional. I relocated another posting of same member yesterday morn that had purposely been placed in the Vegetarian/Vegan section. I moved said post 3 times & even sent said malice into the abuse center. The posting has been deleted from what I see this morn yet the 1 of which you mention was once again placed in the V&V as shown by said member..... Tex. { I also just found it there. }

From what I've read regarding the rules of L7 category relocation.... we are allowed to move posts based on where they will be more appropriately responded to since that be the purpose of YA to begin with. While I've heard that malice behavior of L7 is NOT tolerant & points are deducted IF caught, there seems to be NO punishment yet in place of those that intentionally move their posts where they most definitely do NOT belong and are instead placed there by their poster for nothing more than to cause harm/harassment.

Add to: I see said member posted yet another regarding the 1 that was deleted. If you are to look back 5 days ago in the V&V it's likely why said malice started.... members that post in ANY category to amuse themselves and/or cause malice need to be reported and if a member is able to, such posts need to be relocated appropriately.

    Probably.

Any Level 7 user can move any question to another category. If questions are being moved to inappropriate categories, either as a prank or to get them reported, it's a misuse of the feature and can be reported as such.

To do so, you need links to several questions which have been inappropriately moved. Send them to the Y!A Team, and include a brief explanation of what's happening. Here's the email address:

y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (the missing 'e' in answrs is correct)

I noticed it too. I don't think any level 7 member can move things. I think it has to be a "trusted member." It's just one more level of irritation undermining what used to be a pretty good site. Most are just moved to "other" in the same "outdoor recreation" section. Then again, someone asking what rifle to get was recently moved to "polls and surveys." where it promptly got killed as a question. I mainly still come here because it's one of the only "hunting" sites I can open at lunch or on break here at work.

Yes they are. It's part of the game. The YAHOO! Answers game

It's not just little kids. But sometimes uptight old people.

It's fun to play with them too.

Give 'em a big kiss, and put your question back into the hunting sections

    and laugh out loud.

    I Love you YAHOO!

    Something is going on...

I have had several answers and comments deleted in the last couple days.

I have seen shooting related questions move out of the hunting section to other outdoor recreation, and to mental health.

On occasion I have not been able to post an answer or comment.

On the questions that have been moved- I suspect intent on a users part- whether justifiable or not.

I saw that too. Found one of Higgy's questions moved. I did intentionally move it back for him from another category to where he put it. AND made him aware, to ask if that was OK by him. Seems though like someone's new fun. Thumbs down don't really matter to no one this must be the new plan. LOL

When I look at my list of answers I notice that a lot of questions I answered have been moved to a random category. I didn't know if somebody was going after just me or if it was happening to everybody.

I would like to add that some regulars seem automatically to get a lot of TU's, regardless of how they answer. (Not me, obviously.)

It's been going on for months.

I had tracked one problem to a 60 year old retired school teacher in Florida who hated guns - especially suppressors and machine guns. She was one of our 'thumbs down' fairies and was big on posting dis-information. When I finally made contact with that biddy - I got emails with more 4-letter words in it than regular words. Wasn't until I actually called her - that seems to have freaked her out - she finally disappeared.

But no sooner do you get rid of one stalker here - a new one shows up.

I have noticed that someone has a problem with any question involving airguns(pellet)

    YA Hunting**

Air rifles(pellet and big bore) are legitimate hunting weapons and questions about them are not misplaced. 48 of the 50 States legally recognize them for hunting purposes as does most of the rest of the world.

**includes shooting sports, since there is no category specifically on that subject.

After reading some of the questions and comments from some of the "trusted members" that got selected I think someone at Yahoo answers is on the take.
