Whats wrong with me?

Every person i meet i unwillingly imagine myself killing them. I dont want to actually harm them but thats what happens. Im not depressed but i was about three months ago, if it matters. So any ideas? I want to talk to my guidance counselor but im afriad she will send me to a psychiatric ward or something.

This is actually normal at times, it's an intrusive thought. Your brain often does it as a way of thinking 'I don't want to be doing/thinking that thing, so I'm going to think about it'. They can often come along with OCD, as intrusive thoughts can play a bit part in it (they do for me).

You can talk to you guidance counsellor about it, express that you don't actually want to do it and that the thought is really distressing for you.

They shouldn't send you anywhere, as you're not a danger to other people.

When you think about it, perhaps acknowledge the thought, but then calmly tell yourself 'no, this is not true'. I find that that helps.

Best of luck and best wishes :)
