How is Spirit Airlines?
Im flying to Florida from Ohio to Fort Lauderdale and i was just wondering how is Spirit Airlines...ive always flew with United and this will be my first time with Spirit.....ive read alot of bad reviews but the reviews are kind of old so i wondering if anybody could tell me about them.

It is a basic airline which gets you to your destination. They charge for carry-on bags and checked bags. They are what is called an ultra-low fare carrier, where you pay a base fee for your ticket and then you pay for other things such as food and baggage fees. Seats are a bit tight as legroom is 28" while most other airlines are 31".

They will get you where you need to go. Their service isn't known for being great, and they charge you for absolutely everything - a fee to print your boarding pass at the airport, to choose your seats, to take a carry-on, and for any food and drink on board. But fares are cheap, and the safety record is fine.
